For CRNAs, the Freedom to Practice is not free. CRNAs need to educate the many new faces in the legislature at the state and federal level every year about our education, experience, and the safe quality care we provide every day. What are you willing to give to protect your profession? This is a marathon, not a sprint, so please donate regularly and consider monthly or quarterly donations to WIANA-PC and CRNA-PAC.

WIANA has two ways to donate politically at the STATE Level...

1. WIANA Conduit - your donation is placed in an account and can’t be used for a political contribution WITHOUT your permission.  You have control of where your money goes.

2. WIANA PAC - your donation is used for political contri without your input.  Funds are dispersed on the recommendation of our lobbyist and legislative committees. You have no control of where your money goes.

The AANA Foundation provides money for scholarships and supports research studies on CRNA care. YOU are WIANA, and your participation in our state WIANA-PAC, our national CRNA-PAC and our AANA Foundation is vital to success in protecting CRNA scope of practice.

How much of the dues are allocated to lobbying efforts?

The national portion (AANA portion) of your membership dues that are attributable to political lobbying and thus are not deducible as a business expense is $34. The state portion (WIANA portion) of your membership dues that are attributable to political lobbying and thus are not deducible as a business expense is $68.
